Garrett Connolly

Chiropractor - B.A.(Mod),M.Sc,B.Sc.(chiro),Dip ITEC

Garrett trained originally in Trinity College Dublin as a geologist. He was one of the co founders of the Independent Pizza Company in Drumcondra Dublin and he also spent some time working as a yacht builder. He subsequently went on to graduate from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic (MCC) near Oxford.

McTimoney Chiropractic is a gentle, low force, high speed chiropractic technique which can be used to treat all typical biomechanical / structural problems. Garrett is also an experienced international athlete who has represented Ireland at three Olympic Games, in the sport of sailing, as competitor, coach and manager. He turned to chiropractic as a career following his positive experience of it while competing – in his own words,

‘Owen Dennis kept me going over the course of my Olympic career. Without chiropractic I could never have continued and achieved what I did. I wanted to be able to do the same for others.’

Garrett is a founder member of the McTimoney Chiropractic Association of Ireland (MCAI) and has served as an executive member of the association for almost twenty years. He would also consider himself an ‘afferentologist’ – essentially using muscle testing to help accurately identify the cause of musculoskeletal problems.

He was born and raised in Dublin and currently lives close by the practice in Clontarf. He sails a little, potters on the Shannon, tinkers with old motorbikes, runs on the Clontarf seafront occasionally and plays tennis (badly).

Laryssa takes bookings on Thursdays and Saturday mornings.

Dr. Laryssa Witty

Chiropractor

Dr. Laryssa Witty graduated valedictorian from the Barcelona College of Chiropractic with Titulo Superior Privado en Quiropráctica and Máster en Quiropráctica. She specialises in the following techniques: Gonstead, Diversified, Sacro-occipital Technique (SOT), Thompson, Activator and Applied Kinesiology (AK).

She has experience working with a wide range of patients from newborns and pregnant women to helping people live their best as they age. Her focus is helping the body maximize its innate potential. She works with families to ensure newborn children are given their best chance to develop. It is never too early to check a child's spine to ensure the brain body connection is functioning at an optimal level.

In addition, Dr. Laryssa has experience and a particular interest in working with autistic children and those with neurodevelopmental disorders. Proper nervous system function is essential for children whose bodies are struggling to connect. She develops a teamwork approach with parents through education on understanding their child's system, implementing appropriate self-care advice and administering gentle spinal adjustments.

The following is a 'google review' left by Roisin in reference to her son Danny:

"I've been attending this clinic for 10 years now. I'm a hairdresser so my back needs work now and again. Recently I had an app with Laryssa and I had my nonverbal 6 year old son with me. Laryssa suggested I allow her to work with Danny for a couple of sessions. Danny loved Laryssa, she was very gentle, patient and kind with him. Danny has definitely found a new sense of confidence and is running and jumping with much ease. Would definitely recommend anyone with autistic children to have them checked and re aligned. Can't recommend highly enough."

Dr. Laryssa has a keen interest in languages, literature and the arts. She graduated with honours from the Université de Nice with Maîtrise d'arts, lettres et langues. As well as from the Université de Strasbourg Institut International d'Études Francaises with honours in French language. She is trilingual in French, Spanish and English.

Dr. Laryssa feels at home in Dublin, Ireland, as she is returning to her family heritage; which hails from Tralee, County Kerry. When not in the clinic adjusting, she is always up for a travel adventure, tango dancing, long distance running, and reading a good book.
